This policy is short because the data flows are short: your guest list, table layout and notes are processed only inside your browser. Nothing you type into the planner is transmitted to us or anyone else.

What the planner does with your data

• Guest names, notes and seat assignments live in the page’s memory and, when you save, in your browser’s local storage — a database that stays on your device. The site’s code has no mechanism to send this data out; you can verify it by loading the page and then disconnecting from the network — every feature still works.
• Named events and the autosaved draft are stored under keys like seatingchart:event:… in local storage. Deleting site data in your browser settings removes them permanently; so does the Delete button for a saved event.
• Printing and PNG export happen locally. The printable pages are assembled in the tab and handed to your browser’s print pipeline; the PNG is rendered by your device’s own canvas.

What the website itself processes

The site is statically hosted on Cloudflare. Serving the page necessarily involves ordinary connection metadata — IP address, user-agent string, timestamp, requested URL — which Cloudflare uses to route, cache and protect traffic. We look only at aggregate traffic counts; we do not attempt to identify visitors, and the site has no accounts, logins or submission forms that persist personal information.

Advertising

Pages may show ads served by third parties such as Google AdSense. Ad networks can set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure impressions and, where permitted, to personalise ads. You can limit this via Google Ads Settings, your browser’s cookie controls, or an ad blocker — the planner works identically with ads blocked.

Analytics

If analytics are used, they are aggregate and page-level only (which pages are visited, roughly where traffic comes from). There is no mechanism by which your guest list or chart could be included — that data never reaches the network layer.

Children

The tool is a general-purpose planner with no age-restricted features and no data collection. It is safe for students and classroom use; any names entered stay on the device that typed them.

Changes

If this policy is revised, the replacement appears on this page and the date at the top moves forward.
