SeatingChart is a planning aid built with care. A few honest limits apply — most of them are the kind that only matter on the day of the event, which is exactly when you can’t fix them.

The room is a sketch, not a survey

The canvas is a planning surface: table positions are schematic, and a seat count on screen does not prove the chairs physically fit your venue. Before you commit to a layout, confirm with the venue’s floor plan — table diameters, required aisle widths, pillar positions, fire-lane clearances and where the dance floor and buffet actually land. A chart that works on this page can still be illegal or impossible in the room.

Seat counts are comfort estimates

The tool allows 2–24 seats per table; whether 10 people enjoy dinner at a 60″ round is a physics question the site cannot answer for your chairs, your centerpiece or your menu. The capacity guide gives the honest math, but the rental company and the venue’s event manager have the final word on what fits.

Accessibility and safety are on the real plan

Marking a seat near an exit in this tool does not reserve it in the venue. Wheelchair spaces, step-free routes, highchairs, and fire-code aisle widths must be arranged with the venue directly — treat anything here as a note-to-self, not an instruction the venue received.

Your data is your responsibility

Charts are stored in your browser’s local storage, which means they can be lost by clearing site data, switching browsers, or private-mode sessions that discard storage. Export before it matters: print the chart or save the PNG ahead of the event, and don’t rely on this device being the only copy the day of.
